Due to the COVID-19 situation, I have stopped seeing people on a face to face basis and I now only offer telephone or video counselling. For more information please email me or call me on 07826 524909. Thank you.
I support adults and young children in dealing with their difficulties by listening to them and helping them to make sense of their issues.
Sometimes we reach a point where we get stuck between a rock and a hard place. We don’t want to burden our family, friends or work colleagues and the pressure builds up, sometimes leading to a sense of hopelessness, helplessness or frustration. When we can’t see the wood for the trees it’s nice to get some clarity, to relieve the pressure and get some peace of mind. I have been involved with people, and their relationships with others, in a wide range of situations over many years. Listening to you and trying to get a picture of your life and how it is affecting you can give a shared understanding, which can lead to an acceptance of the way ahead. My wish is that you will feel heard. If you come to me with a problem, I won’t try to “fix” it, or you. You are the expert on your life and I’ll try to help you to find the resources within you to find a way through whatever fog has descended into your life.
If you think counselling may be of use to you and would like more information, please contact me and we can discuss your needs. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) explains a little more about what counselling (therapy) is and what you might expect.
